Privacy Policy

1. Summary

Pieceful is designed to operate offline. The current version requires no account, connects to no developer-operated server, and contains no analytics, tracking, advertising, attribution, or third-party crash-reporting SDK. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

2. Information Processed on the Device

The App locally processes photos you select or capture, cropped puzzle images, progress, moves, elapsed time, completed levels, daily records, settings, sound and vibration preferences, and local purchase flags. This information is not transmitted to us in the current version.

3. Permissions

Photo-library access is used only when you select an image. Camera access is used only when you choose to take one. You can deny or revoke access in iOS Settings and continue using built-in and daily puzzles. Pieceful does not upload photos.

4. Retention and Deletion

Local data remains until changed, reset, or the App is deleted. Deleting the App normally removes its sandbox. Apple-controlled device or iCloud backups may retain data according to your settings and Apple’s policies; we cannot access or delete those backups.

5. Purchases, Advertising, and Analytics

If App Store purchases are enabled, Apple processes payment and account information. We may receive transaction status but not full card details. Current purchase and ad functions are placeholders. Before adding production advertising, analytics, or tracking, we will update this Policy, store disclosures, and required consent mechanisms.

6. Feedback

“Feedback” opens an external email app. If you send a message, your address, content, attachments, and metadata are handled by your provider and received by us for support.

7. Children and Security

We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through developer-operated services. Parents or guardians should supervise camera and photo use. We rely on iOS sandboxing and reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

8. Canadian Privacy Rights

Where PIPEDA or applicable provincial privacy law applies, you may request access to or correction of personal information we hold, withdraw consent where applicable, or challenge our compliance. Current gameplay data is stored only on your device; manage permissions or delete the App for local data. Contact our privacy contact regarding support correspondence. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the appropriate provincial regulator.

9. Cross-Border Processing and Changes

The current App does not send gameplay data across borders. Email may be processed in countries used by your provider. We will update this Policy and give notice where required before material new collection.
