Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Pieceful handles information when you use the App.

1. Privacy Summary

Pieceful does not require an account. Built-in puzzles, daily puzzles, photo puzzles, most gameplay progress, hints, sound and vibration preferences, and created puzzle files are handled locally on your device. Optional iCloud progress sync uses Apple iCloud. Remote theme packs may use developer-operated services hosted with Cloudflare to provide manifests, short-lived download authorization, and theme resource downloads. The App may use Apple services for purchases, purchase validation, iCloud, and ratings, and Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform for advertising and consent.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The App may store photos you select or capture for photo puzzles, cropped puzzle images, puzzle progress, active puzzle records and snapshots, placed-piece state, tray order, piece rotation, completed levels, daily-puzzle settings and records, photo-puzzle completion records, hint state, tutorial-tip state, settings, iCloud sync preference, sound and vibration preferences, purchase-related status, transaction identifiers for paid theme resource access, downloaded theme resource indexes, review-prompt state, ad-frequency state, and consent-related state. This information is stored in the App sandbox. Only the limited information described below is sent to Apple iCloud or remote theme services when you use those features.

3. Photos, Camera, and Local Files

Photo-library access is used only when you choose a photo. Camera access is used only when you choose to take a photo. You can deny or revoke permissions in iOS Settings and continue using built-in and daily puzzles. Pieceful does not upload selected or captured photos to our servers, remote theme service, or iCloud progress sync.

4. iCloud Progress Sync

If you turn on iCloud progress sync in the App, supported puzzle progress, completion records, settings, and active built-in or daily puzzle snapshots may be synced through Apple iCloud for devices signed in with the same Apple ID. Turning sync off stops further syncing, but cloud snapshots already saved may remain. Photo-puzzle images and photo-puzzle active files are not included in Pieceful’s iCloud progress sync. Apple-controlled backups and other iCloud behavior may still follow your Apple settings and Apple’s policies.

5. Advertising and Consent

Pieceful may use Google AdMob to show banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads, and Google User Messaging Platform to request or manage ad consent where required. Pieceful does not operate its own advertising backend. Depending on the SDK configuration, consent choices, and iOS privacy settings, Google advertising and consent services may process information such as IP address, device or advertising identifiers, device information, advertising interactions, product interactions, crash or diagnostic information, performance data, and consent choices in accordance with Google’s policies. iOS may ask whether you allow tracking for advertising purposes. You can change your tracking permission in iOS Settings.

6. Purchases

If you buy “Remove Ads,” buy a paid theme pack, or restore purchases, Apple processes payment and account information. We may receive and store transaction status, product identifiers, and transaction identifiers needed to unlock or restore the feature and, for paid remote theme packs, validate access before issuing a download authorization. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

7. Remote Theme Resources

The App may request remote theme manifests, signed download links, and theme resource files from developer-operated services hosted with Cloudflare. Requests may include theme or resource identifiers and, for paid theme packs, Apple product identifiers and transaction identifiers so the service can validate access with Apple before issuing a short-lived download link. Cloudflare and Apple may process IP address, request metadata, device or network information, and related logs according to their own policies. Remote theme downloads do not require uploading your photos or puzzle progress to our services.

8. Support, Ratings, and External Links

Selecting “Contact Us” opens your external email app. If you send an email, your address, message, attachments, and email metadata are handled by your email provider and received by us for support. Rating links may open the App Store or Apple’s rating prompt, which are handled by Apple.

9. Analytics and Developer Servers

The current App does not require an account and does not send gameplay data, photos, or progress to a developer-operated gameplay server. We operate limited remote theme services for manifest and resource downloads as described above. We do not currently operate our own analytics backend. Third-party ad, Cloudflare, and Apple services may process data as described above.

10. Storage, Retention, and Deletion

Local settings, progress, downloaded theme resources, and created photo puzzles remain until changed, removed by app functionality where available, or the App is deleted. Deleting the App normally removes its local sandbox. Apple-controlled device backups, iCloud backups, and optional iCloud progress sync may retain app data according to your Apple settings and Apple’s policies.

11. Children

Pieceful is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-operated services. Parents and guardians should supervise photo, camera, ad, purchase, and email use. Contact us if you believe a child sent personal information by email.

12. Security and Choices

We rely on iOS sandboxing, Apple services, Cloudflare services, and reasonable development practices to protect data. You can control photo, camera, and tracking permissions through iOS Settings, manage iCloud progress sync, sound, vibration, downloaded theme resources, and other available preferences in the App, and manage purchases through applicable Apple settings. No system is completely secure.

13. Changes

We may update this Policy when the App, third-party services, or law changes. We will update the effective date and provide notice when required.
