Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Pieceful (the “App”), provided by Pieceful (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The App

Pieceful is an offline jigsaw puzzle game offering built-in levels, daily puzzles, and puzzles created from photos you select or capture. Features may vary by version, device, region, or App Store availability.

2. License

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for lawful, non-commercial entertainment on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and applicable App Store rules. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, bypass security, or use the App to violate law or third-party rights, except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise.

3. Your Photos and Content

You retain all rights in photos you choose. You represent that you have permission to use them. Pieceful processes photos on your device to create puzzles and does not upload them to our servers in the current version. You are responsible for keeping originals and backups. Deleting the App may permanently delete locally stored puzzles and progress.

4. Progress and Availability

Puzzle progress and preferences are stored locally. We do not promise cloud backup, synchronization, or recovery. Daily puzzles may unlock according to your device date and may change between versions. We may modify, add, suspend, or remove content or features where reasonably necessary.

5. Purchases and Advertising

If paid features, “Remove Ads,” or other in-app purchases are offered in a production release, billing, refunds, restoration, and payment processing are handled by Apple and governed by the App Store terms. The current development version contains advertising and purchase placeholders only. Any future advertising or payment integration will be disclosed before release.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, software, visual design, built-in artwork, branding, and supplied content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

7. Acceptable Use

You must not interfere with the App, introduce malicious code, exploit bugs, use unauthorized automation, remove notices, or use the App in a way that harms others. We may discontinue access where reasonably necessary to protect the App, users, or legal rights.

8. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free content, compatibility with every device, or recovery of local data. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, progress, profits, or goodwill arising from the App. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the App during the 12 months before the claim, or USD $10 if you paid nothing, except where a different limit is required by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. These Terms terminate automatically if you materially breach them. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. We will update the effective date and provide notice in the App or store listing when required. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

12. Governing Terms

Mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence remain applicable. Subject to those protections, these Terms are governed by the laws and competent courts applicable at the operator’s principal place of business. Apple is not responsible for support or claims relating to the App except as required by applicable App Store terms.
